Hello Forumites,

Does anyone have/know where I can get tab for Steel Guitar Rag? I am an intermediate player who wants to learn some instrumentals. Any ideas on what a good medium tempo instrumental would be for an intermediate player to learn by all means please let me know.

thanks so much

Cindy Cashdollar's video for non-pedal steel volume 2 has a good arrangement for Steel Guitar Rag. It is in tab form in the booklet which comes with the video. She's in C6 and I'm in A6 but it was easy enough to transpose 'cause her intervals are the same. Don't know about E9 but her arrangements is in E and the Bob Wills/ Leon M. 'original' is also in E. It seems to need that 6th sound to work though.

Jeff Newman has an excellent Steel Guitar Rag tape c/w tab on the market. I got mine from the Steel Guitar Club of Canada and I'm sure if you contacted Jeffran College P.O Box 303 Watertown, Tenn. 37184 or contacted them @ 1-800-373-3418. they would be glad to help you out. Good luck. This tab is well done with a full band rhythm track.

Who (or is it whom) ever did the steel work on the Spade Coolie version is the best. Bob Wiils version is right next to it. Jerry Byrd's version is still in a class by it's self.

Hi Smitty. Try Claude Herren's homepage.
You find it in the "Steel Link" page under "Personal Websites". - He has some nice tabs beside "Steel Guitar Rag".
