Here's a little lick I just took off Chely Wright's song "Shut Up & Drive".

1)________4_________
2)__________________
3)___________4~~4B__
4)__4~~~~~~~~~~~4C__
5)_____4~~~~~~~~4C__
6)__________________

And if you turn it over, it don't sound too bad either.

1)__________4_________

3)_____________4B~~4__
4)__4C~~~~~~~~~~~~~4__
5)______4C~~~~~~~~~4__

Here's one from Tracy Byrd's "Holdin' Heaven". Play this one real quick.

2)___________________________________________
3)_15B__________13B_13~~13B1/2~~13___________
4)____________________________________13~~13
5)_____15A~~13A_____13~~13A1/2~~13____13~~13A
6)____________________________________13~~13B
7)___________________________________________

And lastly, this could be a good little exercise for a beginner. The faster you play it, the better it sounds. All clean notes, don't let'em ring together.

3)________________________________________
4)_15____________10_____________3_________
5)____15a~15________10a~10________3A~3____
6)___________15____________10B_________3B_
7)________________________________________

4)_____________________
5)_3___________________
6)___3B~3______________
7)__________3_____3____
8)____________3~2___3__
9)_____________________

Ya'll have a good weekend.

Hi Harold. I have not heard the song by Chely Wright. But that little lick sure got my inspiration going. I never would have come up with this one by myself. Thanks alot.

F# -> G# on 1st string
D -> C# on 9th string
