need help with tablature please.
I'm looking for someone to show me how to read tablature.I never really tried to learn how now I need it really bad.
Hey Greg. It's not too tough:
<font face="monospace" size="3"><pre>
1---------------
2---------------
3--------5------
4---------------
5---------------
6---------------
7---------------
8---------------
9---------------
10--------------
</pre></font>
That means pick the 3rd string with your bar at the 5th fret.
<font face="monospace" size="3"><pre>
1---------------
2---------------
3--------5B------
4---------------
5---------------
6---------------
7---------------
8---------------
9---------------
10--------------</pre></font>
That means the same thing with the B pedal down.
<font face="monospace" size="3"><pre>
1---------------|-----
2---------------|-----
3---------------|-----
4---------------|-----
5------------5--|--5A-
6------5~5B-----|-----
7---------------|-----
8---5-----------|-----
9---------------|-----
10--------------|-----
</pre></font>
Common kick-off, key of D--the ~ means pick string, then hit pedal.
<font face="monospace" size="3"><pre>
1---------------
2---------------
3--------3B------
4--------3-------
5--------3A-------
6---------------
7---------------
8---------------
9---------------
10--------------
</pre></font>
Three note C chord in 3rd fret, 4th, 5th and 6th string in the 3rd fret with A and B pedals down.
<font face="monospace" size="3"><pre>
1---------------
2---------------
3--------------
4---8R------------
5---8A------------
6---8------------
7---------------
8---------------
9---------------
10--------------
</pre></font>
"R" means the E raise lever--it actually means any raise lever--"L" would mean lower.
Some tabbers don't write A, B, C, R or L, but instead just # and ##, b and bb since thewre are so many guitar setups out there.
It ain't perfect but it gets the ideas across.
Making sense?
