This is a long lick that takes you from a G to a C. The first two sections are played as triplets - 1 and a 2 and a 3 and a 4 and a. The second two sections are 1 a 2 a 3 a 4 a, and so on. I got this lick from "Last Broken Heart", by Brooks & Dunn. (At least it's real close!)

I think you might be overcomplicating that last descending part Lee, although maybe I'm not hearing it right. I'm sure I hear the sliding up stuff in the first part though.

Overcomplicating!?! Not me! I just tend to embellish things a bit. Actually, I don't have a recording of this tune. Someone brought it to practice one evening and this is what I came up with. It works on the bandstand.
