E9 lick

Post by Ken Williams »

Here's an E9 lick that seems to work pretty well on shuffle tunes. It could be used as an augmented 7th type of lick before going to the IV chord. I believe all of the notes are 8th notes.

<font size="3" face="monospace"><pre>

6-5b-----5b-----8------10------12~10--------
7------5------8-----10------12--------10-----
8----5------8-----10------12-------------10--
9--------------------------------------------
10-------------------------------------------

6------------------------------------------
7---------10~8-----------------------------
8------10------8---------------------------
9---10-----------8-------------------------
10------------------7----------------------

</pre></font>

It's in the key of D.

I don't know why, but it seems like when you want to insert a blank line in the tab, you need to hit Enter, then two spaces, then Enter again. The spaces keep the first Enter from getting lost. (That's why I edited your message, Ken.)
