Those who have watched Jeff Newman's C6 Workshop will recognize these four note groupings:



In D13, we can achieve the same but it does require some skipped strings and a lever which isn't quite as elegant a solution:



However, there is a VERY elegant solution by moving down 7 frets and engaging the 8 pedal:


The nice thing about this solution is you just remove the 8th pedal when 7 down and you get the 4 chord. Press the 5th pedal (pedal 6 on the D13) and you get the 5 dom7 chord. Just like in Jeff Newman's example.
