I have been using in ears for about 6 weeks, micing my speaker cab. Tonight I came out of the front jack switched to the line out (toggle to the left) right into the PA.
This is all new to me but with a sound man out front to dial it in I think it is working, he likes the steel sound, fewer speakers on stage makes it easier to mix the front end.
90% of the bands that play in this big club have some or all members going this direction.
52 years behind the steel, playing a lot and yet still trying to learn new tricks. _________________ '70 D10 Black fatback Emmons PP, Hilton VP, BJS bars, Boss GE-7 for Dobro effect, Zoom MS50G, Stereo Steel amp, Telonics 15” speaker.

I always use the direct out from my Quilters. I’ve never met a sound tech that didn’t love it. One band used in-ears and it was something I liked right from the start. Not something I always use but they work well for me when I do. _________________ KEVIN MAUL: Airline, Beard, Clinesmith, Danelectro, Evans, Fender, GFI, Gibson, Hilton, Ibanez, Justice, K+K, Live Strings, MOYO, National, Oahu, Peterson, Quilter, Rickenbacher, Sho~Bud, Supro, TC, Ultimate, VHT, Williams, X-otic, Yamaha, ZKing. |
