Grammy Nomination for Paul Franklin & Vince Gill

Post by Fish »

A tip of the hat to the inimitable Paul Franklin and Vince Gill for their 2024 Grammy nomination last week in the Best Country Duo/Group Performance category for their duet on "Kissing Your Picture (Is So Cold)" from the album Sweet Memories: The Music of Ray Price & The Cherokee Cowboys.

It's truly a wonderful moment when our instrument is given an international spotlight like this. It's also extremely rare for a pedal steeler to be the featured duet artist.

Here are the other performances nominated in this category are:

"We Don't Fight Anymore" Carly Pearce Featuring Chris Stapleton
"Save Me" Jelly Roll With Lainey Wilson
"I Remember Everything" Zach Bryan Featuring Kacey Musgraves
"Nobody's Nobody" Brothers Osborne
"High Note" Dierks Bentley Featuring Billy Strings

Paul and Vince certainly have my vote....congratulations to two of the nicest and most talented musicians I've ever known.

That's great news for a killer team. Vince and Paul are the epitome of great country music like it should be. My vote for sure.
