Sugarfoot Rag with Fender Dual Pro

Post by Paolo Conti »

I'm pleased to present "Sugarfoot Rag", the second video with my new band Dandelion String Band.
Same gear as for the first video "It's all your fault" : Fender Dual Pro with a new Fender Vibro Champ. A6th tuning with high C# tuned in B.

Awesome! Very well done. Love the arrangement, especially the uptempo reprise.

Nice job Paolo!

I always played that in C6 with the E lowered to D, essentially the same as you. It's really the only way to play it uptempo.

Thank you Fred, thank you Mike, I am glad you like it !
Mike, even with this trick, for me part B remains difficult to play at fast tempo, which is why I don't play it.

Paolo, it’s a cliché now that happens to be true - knowing when and what not to play is part of being a good player. You made the right choice staying out of the B part. I’ve tried playing it too, on pedal steel. Maybe some day, but for now it’s big Nope.

Love it! You guys sound great as always, and good production with the video/recording.
