Bruce Bouton Lap Steel Video - “Beg, Borrow & Steel”

Post by Jesse Nestor »

Hi there,

I wanted to post this song here so that folks in the group could hear it. I had initially posted it a long while ago but I removed it because as soon as I did, I learned that the great David Lindley had just passed away. What an incredibly sad loss to the world.

I recorded this song of mine with Bruce last year, called “Beg, Borrow & Steel”. We both played lap steel, and we really liked how it came out. Hope you enjoy!

Wow, what a cool piece of music. I enjoyed the rhythm, twin steel sounds and the arrangement. Nice work.

Jesse, what a wonderful and inspiring track, performance and video! Inspires me to drag my Academy lap out of the closet and dig back into the soulful simplicity of a lap steel. Well done, mate!! Your a talented beast, handling the songwriting, playing, video, art, you do it all.--- Professor Twang
