I had a crazy idea. I currently have a homemade wood pedalboard that I carry in an aluminum case. At shows I mount it on a modified keyboard stand. It's super handy for playing but it's two things to carry around. I saw a picture of a voting booth on the news and got a brainstorm...

What if I purchased one of these...

... as an elevated pedalboard solution?

I'd have to modify the hinge to be removable and tear out much of what's inside, (maybe even have to velcro the legs to the outside) to make room for the pedals but I think I could build a proper board inside. It even has a power supply! Then the board and stand are one sturdy case I can easily carry as one unit.

Thoughts on the viability of this?

Anyone see these for sale anywhere for cheaper than the one above?

If you’re handy enough to do all of the modifications you mentioned, can you build a pedalboard case with enough room on the bottom to use pac-a-seat legs under it and have them fold up?

Currently I have a Pedal Train JR board that I put on top of a keyboard chair.

If I really wanted to, I could probably just cover the top of the keyboard chair with Velcro and get rid of the pedal board all together, the only reason why i haven't is I have a voodoo lab power supply under the pedal board, But prob could run all pedal off of a One Spot. I would need to get a slightly bigger soft case for the keyboard chair.

Pedaltrain with hard case.
Power supply mounts underneath.

All good ideas.

I could just attach legs to the board but I definitely want a covered transport solution.

I remember seeing the pedal board on opened case before, but I'm definitely set on having the board level with my right hand. Some of these songs require quick effects switching mid-song.
