can anyone explain these wires and posts behind the changer of buddys guitar im baffled[/img]

Emmons string machine (I believe that's what it was called). It had 3 pickups you could swing over certain strings. They fed into a box that would create string sounds, using a fuzz tone (if memory serves me correctly).
