I recently picked up my first pedal steel on a trade and was looking to verify some of the information I was told about it. There are no markings which indicate it, but I was told it was an early Jim Clark build from the early to mid 1960s. It is a D9 with one knee lever. I was told that Jim built the guitar and gave it to Gene O'Neil, who used it for some time with Charley Pride. Ultimately, the guitar was returned to Jim and sold to someone local in Oklahoma named Earnie Sumerall as you can see painted on the case. I would just like to verify any aspects of that story if I can. I plan to sell it to get something better to learn on with more knee levers, but it is a very cool guitar and I have had a great time playing and learning on it.

Thanks to some help from a fellow forum member, I believe it was actually made by LeRoy Prine in the early to mid 60s. I appreciate the assistance.
