Anyone do this? My Superblock is a bit bright, I might try it.

It's been/being discussed on the Quilter FB page. I'll be trying it on my Mach3 when I get the chance.

I tried just the short cable on my tone block and it does help. I will experiment with those caps and see what works best. Thanks for the tip.

I might see if some version of this would help on my Mini 101 head, which has only a high cut control, which is very subtle, not a regular treble control. While this wouldn't help if I want more highs, it could help when the high cut doesn't take out as many highs as I would like, which is the more frequent problem. If I could build it into a right angle jack I could leave it in the amp during transport. Or, conversely, I could build a little box with a cap and a pot, and keep it in the bag for the amp.

I was using .155 small George L cables had to turn the treble off and still was not a good sound. This may have been the cure I needed.

With a Quilter TB 202 I ended up going to D'Addario large .240 cables to allow me to use the treble knob in the mix again.

I've got to say -- I made one of these and tried it in my Mach 3. Put it this way --- when you have to try really hard to figure out if it is making a difference .... plug it in, out, in, out, stand here, stand there.....
It is not doing anything in my rig.

One of these days I'll make another one to try. I clipped off an ancient plug from a 30 year old cord in my junk bin for this. Even though it shows no continuity faults, I probably ought to use a fresh bit of hardware. Considering the testimonials I've read about this, it does not make sense that I cannot reproduce the benefits in my 'lab'.
