D-8 Sho Bud Permanent. Madison,TN. Made. $1500

Post by Stephen Schoenadel »

rare D-8 Sho Bud Permanent. Made in Madison, TN.

This is a PROJECT and bit of a basket case. I've been holding onto it for a while and I realize now I will never get around to restoring it.

If my price seems too high I apologize. I can't justify selling it unless I can acquire the funds I need for the new gear that I need. If I am WAY off on the price let me know as I have no idea how to appraise this guitar in its current condition.

I will consider offers.
I will also consider trades for a Stage One or Clinesmith 8 string lap.

Here's the bad at least what comes to mind: No fingers on the inside neck. No mechanisms at all on that neck. I have the original pickup for that neck though- I have never tested that pickup. Fretboards are home made with tape for fret markers. One slightly bent tuning peg. it was working fine electronically until recently. some wire got pulled and now there's no signal. The wiring was shoddy when I got it (the ground was a paper clip connected by electrical tape). There are no visible serial numbers or marks. The necks are original and have some light writing in pencil on the back if I remember correctly, but I couldn't decipher what the numbers or writing is.

Sold strictly AS IS. Please see all photos. I am happy to answer any question you might have.

$1500.00 plus actual shipping. Paypal or local pickup with cash. I'm located in Western Maryland.
