Seeking C6 or E9/B6 Universal psg Instruction materials

Post by Jacob Chisenhall »

Hello, fine folks of the forum.

I’m looking to buy some instructional material - I play a Williams u12, and I am specifically studying the ‘C6’ side of the guitar. I own Jeff Newman’s universal course, but I am interested in any books/dvd’s out there that are about universal guitar…However, because material on u12 seems to be scarce, I am also interested in any introductory c6 courses available.

In particular I would love to own:

Any Jeff Newman c6 courses, particularly ‘music to c6 by’ ‘c6 & swinging’ or ‘c6 workshop’
Would also consider Doug Jernigan ‘c6 for beginners’
Or really any other intro courses for c6 or (preferably) e9/b6 universal steel

Thanks y’all !

I was trying to think of what Universal-specific material was available online, and I remembered that Sierra hosts a number of videos on the Universal tuning by Joe Wright. I haven’t watched them myself so not sure what they all entail, but posting in case they’re of any interest.

I would get Buddy Emmons' Basic C6 course (even if you already have the basics).
