Rhode Island Steel Guitar Association Meeting / Jam!!!

Post by Peter Hart »

Hello fellow steelers, it's getting close to that time again!
The Rhode Island Steel Guitar Association will be holding their next quarterly meeting / jam on Sunday, August 6, 2023.
The meeting / jam session will run from 12 noon until about 5pm.
It will be held at the Tiverton Rhode Island VFW post# 5392 at 134 Shove Street, Tiverton, Rhode Island
The lunch will be pot luck so bring your own pot (of food) to share and / or a dessert...
You do not have to be a member to attend so come on down and have some fun playing along or just come and listen if you like, you'll be glad you did!!
There will be good music, good food, great people, and always a few laughs!!
Mark your calendars!
Hope to see you there!

Thanks, Peter. I hope to be there to hang out with you and the other good folks associated with RISGA. I'll miss Jim though.

On June 17th I survived playing a gig with Roger Trahan. I will be at the RISGA meeting trying to pick and grin with limited ability.

I apologize for bringing Jay Andrews into Peter Hart`s post, but he was a local picker who made it big in Nashville. He played with Johnny Paycheck, Vern Garsdin, etc. His cousin Robin Andrews tells me he will be visiting R. I. around July 15th. I hope he shows up at the Tiverton VFW this Sunday.

That would be cool if Jay Andrews attends and plays, Manny.

And congratulations on your survival. Roger is a tough taskmaster, for sure!

I am getting nervous and looking forward to Sunday`s meeting & jam. Risga survives despite trending situations.
