Hi Larry thank you. I tend to sit at my guitar and doodle. A song comes to my head and I go with it. Have a few brewing at the moment but no time to work on them. Dave :)

Fact is I do exactly the same thing. Often if I'm determined enough I find a karaoke version on YouTube and use it as a backing track.

Hi Larry I try X Minus pro first for backing tracks. Its free you just have to register and you can alter the key & tempo I think. It also offers a free vocal removal service. Used that on Tell Me There's A Heaven. If I can't find the song I want I do a Midi file search and open with BIAB. If it's been Sequenced on to one track I just copy the chords & open in a new page. Then you can control all of the tracks. I also look up chords on Chordify and type them in to BIAB. Have been doing a lot of songs with no backing Like Hushabye mountain medley I posted awhile back. Dave :)

I haven't used Band in a Box since 2004. I purchased the updated product in 2021 but really haven't used it. The format has changed a lot and I go for a quick fix if it's available. I will have a look at that program. I did the same thing back when I used BIAB for backing tracks.
