Last week we provided very sad news of the passing of our mother, Mary. Sadly, we must come to you again to inform you we have also lost our sister Sandra. Sandra passed away Sunday, 11 June 2023. This passing was the end of a lengthy illness and a tough road for Sandra. She is truly in a better place.

Sandra was with the Steel Guitar Convention from the beginning and provided service for all that enjoyed our annual shows. Sandra was always seen taking pictures in the early years of our steel shows…up to the emergence of the Steel Guitar Convention into what is known as the ISGC.

We will miss Sandra.

Wow, that's terrible. I'm truly saddened by this and offer my sincere sympathy and prayers for the Scott family. I remember Sandra from many of the shows over the years. Always pleasant and deeply involved with the operation of the Convention.

Michael, I am sorry to hear the sad news about the passing of your mother Mary and your sister Sandra. I can't imagine how hard it must be to lose both of them in such a short amount of time. I have lots of fond memories from the the Steel Guitar Convention and both of them were always so nice to everyone who attended. You and all of your family have my deepest condolences.

That is really hard to accept. I spent a lot of time with Sandra at the ISGC, simply chatting. She was really a special and kind person.

My heartfelt condolences to the entire Scott family!

I can’t imagine your family’s pain, Michael. Sandra once asked me to help take pictures. I really liked and respected her. May she rest in peace.

So sorry Michael. Sandra was like my own sister when I played the international steel guitar convention , and you a brother. You both made my trip there the best. I miss you all. It was the golden era of steel guitar I’ll always remember. Thoughts and prayers to you!

Michael, condolences on this double whammy losing Sandra. I spent many years at the ISGC shows and the Scott family was always in high visibility there. It was like seeing old friends every year.
