In exactly one month , June 23 and 24 , we will present
our annual Oklahoma Steel Guitar Convention Show . For
the last several years we've met at St James Presbyterian
Church , located at 11970 So. Elm , Jenks , Ok . Jenks is
a Tulsa suburb located just off Hwy 75.....this is a fabulous
facility that has everything needed to host a Steel Guitar
show.....i.e. a wonderful large stage , east access to load
in , lots of comfortable seating , a full service kitchen
a rehearsal room , necessary rooms {bathrooms} , plenty
of free parking . Plan on a weekend of great steel , also
vocals from Oleda Canida and Chasity Jones. There will be
venders , and, for you ladies , Chasity's beautiful table of
jewelry....very fairly priced I might add . Refreshments
available as well . Pres Beverly Harris is working hard
to make certain you have a great time .
When Larry King speaks, people listen!

My oh my, who can resist that invitation? I'm locked, loaded and ready to go. My doctor says I should be fine to make the trip. Room booked, dog kennel set up, now all I need to do is drive.

It will be great having the PR Director playing bass guitar on my set. How could I turn down my adopted cousin?

Paul, I believe that the bass is the most important member of any band. You can do without any other instrument, but try playing without a bass player.
And we have one of the BEST.

I sure agree with you on this Rick.

Kind words boys.....I appreciate it. A friend of mine .
a smart man I might add , pointed out that the Steel
Guitar is an icing instrument that requires a cake to
ice....the cake builders are guys like Mike McGee ,
Jeff Culver , Kevin Jones , bass players, drummers,
vocalists etc who build the foundation of support .
Now , we need your attendance....that's your part
in the support system . June 23/24

I am truly honored to have been invited to play in this year's show. Great staff band w/ some awesome steel players. Can't hear any better in Nashville (imo).

I'm excited to hear Rick Eaves' set . Thanks to Rick
I met Jeff Culver whom I call my newest best
friend . Those of you who were at the TSGA in
March heard an awesome rendition of Danny Boy
Played by Sarah Jory . Sarah excused the band
and kept only Jeff on keys and he did one heck
of a job backing her . I'll go on record saying
it was absolutely fantastic and could not have
been played better . So thank you Rick Eaves
for introducing Jeff to us . Now , back to Rick
he is an impeccable talent.....at ease on both
necks and plays flawlessly . Add to that Rick's
a believer and a mighty fine guy . Do not miss
hearing Rick Eaves , hands down one of the areas
finest....a finesse player and commander of his
instrument . Be there

Larry, I read your post about Dancer Hall. We want to let everyone know the A/C has been repaired and Restrooms remodeled. The facility is in top shape for the show.
