New Video - "Wonderful Land" C6 tuning

Post by Doug Beaumier »

Just posted on YouTube. I'm playing a Deluxe 8, but only 6 strings were on the instrument when I recorded this. So this arrangement can be played on a 6-string lap steel, standard C6 tuning. This is my favorite Shadows tune. 8)

Wow, Very nice!! You nailed the Vox sound! Inquiring minds would like to know your signal chain. Thanks!

Thanks Gil, my chain for the steel: black box, Quilter 202 head (amp) with Oceans 11 (spring reverb) in the effects loop, recorded direct on Audacity software, delay added in Audacity.

The intro and ending guitar riffs I played on a Strat Ultra, using a Boss delay and Oceans 11 (spring reverb).

One of my favourite Shadows tunes, really nice version, great tone you've got going there.
