Please wait before closing. I've never heard of this book. Can you tell us more about it, in case we might hunt for another copy? When was it published? Is it an illustrated biography with lots of pics? Tablature? Previously-unpublished interviews? What's on the CD? Tell us more!

It arrived Friday (thanks again David!), I just started reading it so Dave could tell you a lot more about it than I.

Author Fred Wright and Reece became friends a few years prior to the book’s publication (2010). It is 206 pages in length. There are a handful of black & white photos sprinkled throughout the book. I have yet to play the CD, contents in the photo below.

It may still be available from Infinity Publishing, here is the link:

Maurice sent me a signed copy of his book when it was first published. I loved the book, although it hardly scratched the surface of of his lifetime achievements.

The CD has some previous recordings on it plus some newer ones that I hadn't heard before. He really was a fabulous player. I brought him over to the UK in the 1970's to do a series of seminars across the country, and introduced him to some important contacts who latterly imported a number of MSA pedal steels. That period was barely mentioned in the book. I guess that if Maurice's full story was put into print, it would be a hefty and weighty tome.
