Google has created a Knowledge Panel for me

Post by Doug Beaumier »

Google search informs me that they have created a "knowledge panel" for me. I guess they must think I'm someone important! Fooled 'em again.

How cool is that? You are someone special in our world. Love all your great work and apparently so did a lot of other people.

Thanks Larry. It's interesting that they describe me as an "Internet personality". I don't say a word on my videos, don't even show my face.

Hi Doug, I have great admiration for those beautiful hands. However, your face is frightening. Just kidding. Congratulations, as you succeed to greater heights.

Congratulations Doug, that's awesome! Man, you deserve it. You've given a lot of exposure to the steel guitar and really helped the community out. I know I've picked up a few things from you along the way!

That's outstanding, Doug. . . Put a bow on it! Thanks for sharing sharing so much music over the years.

You teased a good one out of that pretty red Encore ==> I Can't Help It If I'm Still in Love With You https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QT4Tbmqxy4o. The phrase that starts at 1:13 is so cool!

Hey thanks, Dan! Much appreciated. That phrase is basically a Newman style speedpicking run, but played going Up the neck instead of down the neck. And played a a slower tempo.

Mine simply says "Music Maker". I'll take that, I guess. :D

Music Maker!? I wonder who writes these things. Maybe the algorithm comes up with it.

What I was thinking. That is quite a step up from steel guitar teacher. Is is a ranking, like Music Maker? And is it higher.

Seriously, congragulations, I think.

Thanks Charlie. I'm not sure about the rankings! 8) By the way, Knowledge Panels can not be edited directly by the person, but "suggestions" can be made to Google by the person and Google would have to approve (and make) the changes.
