new price
If your name isn't David, you could do what Pete Drake did. Pictures of Pete's old Bud shows a leather cover on the front apron with his name on it. I've been told Buddy is under the leather.

That looks like a Dick Miller Finish; as he did a lot of custom work with Sho~Bud and with Terry Bethel. I don't particularly like the Super Pro...but OMG; I LOVE THIS ONE....Stunning looking.

Andy; all Sho~bud's are 24" scale. EXCEPT a Rare few that had a smaller/shorter gumby Keyhead that was made for Lloyd Green's first LDG; by Paul Franklin Sr.; to correct the string overtones that Lloyd heard and Paul corrected by inventing/making that keyhead. He did make a handful or so of them; and several of them went on other Sho~bud's around that 1973 to 1975 time.
Super-pro was started in 1978; but while I'm on a Paul Franklin Sr. Rant> Sho-bud had tuning problems right off the bat with the first super-pro's. They asked Paul who just left to go build his own pedal steels(FRANKLIN); he said: "I was going to tell you before I left helping there at Sho~Bud that the new key-head you are making for super-pro; is very unstable and you will always have problems; so I'll sketch you what you should do on how to make it" and they did and thanks again to Paul Franklin Sr. to come up with another Custom FIX for Sho~bud; which you don't have enough time for me to tell you them ALL....ah...ha.LOL. Here's a treat; this is what Paul Franklin Sr invented for Sho-Bud Super Pro, pic below.
Yes this custom "DAVID" superpro has them...yeeehaaa.

Jack,
Very nice guitar. I sure wish I lived closer.
Ricky,
You are the best!!!
Thank you for the above information. I am always curious regarding Super Pro scale lengths because my 78 Super Pro alum neck is indeed 24 1/4. At one point I had to replace the fret boards and it was Jeff Surrat that fortunately found 2 new ones that Duane Marrs had in his old stock. Jeff indicated my guitar could be 1 of 5 with these features. My keyhead does have the tongue like you posted above.
Thank you,
Always
Andy
