Love this old tune. You may recognize it as the theme song for the TV show "This Old House".

Thanks for that Doug, made my day! Such a soothing tune.
And played perfectly. Love that tuning.

Glad you like it, Gil. The tuning is similar to E9 pedal steel. Strings 1 - 5 are the same as strings 4 - 8 on pedal steel. And string 6 is the same as string 10 on psg.

Awesome Doug. Great backing music too!

Thanks Joe. The backing track is all band-in-a-box. That's what I've been using for these Short form videos. For my long-form videos I use BIAB for bass and drums only, and I add (I play) a few guitar tracks. So those take a little longer to make.

Doug! I love that song. My wife and I have been listening to it for years now, and we never knew the name of it.
Thanks for posting that.

Very cool Doug, really in tune with great tone, just nice to listen too. I think you teamed it up with" If I Had You " a while back , and it sounded so good I had to learn it. Thanks for turning me on to your great versions of these great tunes. Don't know why I didn't think of Endless Summer, I'm a surfer. Look forward to your next post. Steve Catt

Thanks Steve. It wasn't me who made the video of the two songs "Louisiana Fairytale & If I Had You", but I remember that video and I really enjoyed it.

P.S. Why am I dragging around a double ten when you are playing everything I want to hear on a 6 or 8 string lap steel. I'll have to ponder that for a while. Keep up the good work. Catt

FYI: I play a S-10 pedal steel on all of my gigs. The bands I work with expect to hear pedal steel sounds.

Great little ditty Doug…your superb hand/bar work is
. Which one of your fine amps did you use?

Thank you, Carl. I used a Quilter Tone Block 202, the head only, recorded direct via the Signal Out. And I monitor through a small pair of studio speakers. I've been using that setup for the past couple of years.
