My first steel, a 1965 Fender Deluxe 8. I believe I am second owner, it comes the way I got it, with the original owner's bars and thumb pick, plus a custom made pillow to hold her in place. Lots of checking and play wear, It sounds fantastic. $1500. and I will split the shipping cost with you....

Deluxe 8
I can't believe this hasn't been snapped up yet. To my recollection Fender used the blond finish on ash bodies, better sounding than alder. I have one of these, and it's a great all purpose guitar. Legs are solid, tone is outstanding. The blend wheel is amazing. Price is right on. There are lots of pics of Gabby Pahinui playing one. Good luck with your sale, Sean!

Hi Jon,
Thanks so much for chiming in! I didn't know about the correlation between finish and wood type, very interesting. I agree on all points; legs are heavy duty, blend wheel can dial in just about any tone you want to get, it sounds fantastic ... and yes, Gabby Pahinui played some beautiful music on one of these. Hawaiian music is what drew me in in the first place...
