Belated new of the passing of Art Ruymar

Post by Brian McGibney »

This is not breaking news but I thought that I would pass on that Art Ruymar, husband of Lorene Ruymar, passed a little over a year ago on December 9 2021. A constant and loving companion to Lorene Art, was a superb musician . I don't think anyone has posted this information to this group where I know he had many friends.

I was married to Lorene's daughter when Lorene and Art were married back in the 80's

Even though my marriage broke down I always stayed close with both Art and Lorene. The pandemic meant we could not see as much of them as we wanted. Even though he was in his mid 90's he was a pretty healthy guy but the death of Lorene broke his heart. I'm seeing them "up there" playing together like they did for many decades
Measure twice, cut once unless its really expensive, in that case measure thrice just to be sure.

If it ain't broke-don't fix it.

Never enough time to do it right-always enough time to do it over.

A lack of planning in your world...does not constitute an emergency in mine.

Life is not a dress rehearsal

Brian, I was quite close to both Lorene & Art. They lived about 3 blocks from my former high school in Vancouver & we were fellow members of the ApplesBC computer club in Vancouver. I saw them perform at Scotty's Int. Steel Guitar Convention in St. Louis in 2009. Here's a picture I took of them there.

Here is Art's obituary.

I miss them both!
