Buddy Emmons' legacy

It occurred to me that, at last, there's a fitting memorial to Buddy's legacy.

The Emmons Company is reborn and building the wraparound exactly as he wanted his new guitar to be.
Then there's Steve Fishell's wonderful biography, already a treasured item on many bookshelves.

If all that wasn't enough, there's now that iconic logo - designed by the Big E - and it's adorning the store-front in Sevierville.

I'm just sorry he's not still with us to see what has been done in his name.

I go to Sevierville often, and the last time I was there, the sign wasn't on the building yet, but there were steel guitars inside. I would love to test drive an Emmons ReSound '65 because I've always been a fan of Emmons steels of the '60s since I started playing steel twenty-three years ago. The new Emmons Guitar Company is a great tribute to Buddy. Buddy would be proud to see that Emmons is back again. I looked through the windows at the steels, and they look awesome!
