looking for a steel

hi,

i'm looking for a pedal steel guitar that would suit a rookie like myself. i lamost made a deal with a carter starter but somehow i'd like to take a different route. the starter is probably a very nice guitar however all my instruments tend to be on the vintage side so why not the steel too. has anyone for sale a nice S10 or even D10 that could suit me. it should stay in tune and be fairly easy to play. i guess modern steels are easier than older push-pulls but i do like the 60's and 70's tone better. curly chalker is my absolute favourite. i really love his sound. but as we all know sound comes from the player not the instrument. but if anyone's got a bud or an msa or an emmons in the 1000$ region and is willing to part with it please contact me. i am based in helsinki finland but i can arrange shipping from florida so that won't be a problem. thank you for your time and happy trails, segu

that didn't mean i wouldn't consider newer models as well. it's just that my budget is limited to a certain extent... so, if anyone's got a S10 lying around that needs to be played please contact. thanks, segu

Hello, i reccomend you take a look at Simmons Steel guitars website, his Econo-Line is really great for the money. I am very pleased with mine, anyway here is some info from his site, and here is the link

http://www.simmonspedalsteel.com/index_files/Page476.htm

Econo-line beginner steels are not your typical student guitars
MICA finish
Most common pedal setup
Pedal and knee levers tune at endplate
Quality pickup
Stays in tune
Sounds great!
Case is optional
We have 2 models available:

E2, 3 pedals, 2 knees (Emmons setup, knees lower & raise, E notes) $699.00

E4, 3 pedals, 4 knees (same as above w/2 extra knees ) $849.00

Option - hard econo case is $99.00
