Nicely done Dale. The tab has to be a brain teaser. I look at tab but never use it because for me it's better to hear it and find the notes. But lots of players see it as a road map. Writing it out helps to lock it into your memory. Thanks for taking the time to write and post this. |

Thank you Larry. If writing TAB would ONLY Lock it in my memory I'd write more of it, sadly for me thats not the case.
For all the TAB I've accumulated over the years you'd think I love, but in truth I think the thing I love is the idea that TAB will "get me there", yet for me it never has. I find it more frustrating than anything else so NEVER use it. For my head, I find its better for me to just hunt and peck my way through something trying to duplicate on the guitar what I'm hearing in my head, and often, making a "Happy Mistake" that may lead me in another direction.
Now, all that said, we're all wired differently, and there are those who really thrive on TAB. My buddy Scott is one of those, so since I TAB'd this at his request I thought I'd just share it with everyone else who may be able to get something out of it. _________________ Dale Rottacker, Steelinatune™

Dale, that is beautiful, really enjoyable to listen to. I play that song on C6, and thought I had a pretty good version, but I like your version better. Funny, I assumed you were on C6 until the harmonics at the end when I saw you were on E9. Keep up the great work Catt |

Dale, so true in locking it in. It does help me find the position so I can do as you, hunt and peck from what I hear. I learned 6 string guitar from chord charts and following the melody under the lead sheets. Everyone has a different method and we use what works for us. You did a beautiful job and the chords are luscious. Has a strong C6 flavor. |

Thanks so much Cat... Seems to be a lot of C6th on E9th... Been thinking of trying to work this up on C6th... Just finished what I think will be my last Christmas type song till Christmas 2023, Let It Snow.

I think I started out both blessed and cursed musically. I've been an Ear player since I started at 6 years old, and since my Dad was as well I just placed more value in that than in music. In a lot of ways I wish that some of the early aptitude towards music hadn't been there as I may have studied it more like a real musician, who understands more of what they are doing. But like you said, we all have a different method and have to work with what we're 'Blessed' with. _________________ Dale Rottacker, Steelinatune™
