One off Bass Gig in Dallas, March 12, 2023

Post by Dan Beller-McKenna »

Can any Dallas area folks recommend a local bass player who would be comfortable with folk, Americana, and Townes van Zandt in particular for a one-off show in Deep Ellum Sunday March 12 (last day of the TSGA show). I will be playing a few gigs in Texas that week leading up to an academic event at Rice in Houston. The Dallas gig will probably be a minimal (or no) rehearsal situation, so looking for someone who already plays a lot of TVZ and related material.

Thanks!

Sam Noth...plays with a lot of the steel players at the show. I will be around, too...actually met Townes in Nashville when I first went out to record some demos in 1995.

Thanks, Alan: I'll look him up. Hope to meet you at the Dallas show.

Fun fact: I grew up in Ardmore, PA!
