Photo: Bud Isaacs circa 1952 recording session

Post by Andy Volk »

From former Vintage Guitar writer Jim Hilmar:

Image
This is a recording session, possibly at the Ryman Auditorium, circa 1952 or so. Take a close look at the musicians - from left to right: Owen Bradley (piano), Paul Cohen (producer / standing with his hand on the microphone), Bob Moore (upright bass), Buddy Harman (drums), Grady Martin (in front with his Bigsby doubleneck), Harold Bradley (in the back on banjo), Bud Isaacs (in front on Bisgbsy steel), Red Foley (in back - wearing a hat - on fiddle) and Tommy Jackson (fiddle). What a line-up!

I don't think I could ever get comfortable operating the volume pedal like that.

I love looking at old photographs. Windows into the past.

Current market value of all the equipment in the photo?
