I am an old dog learning new tricks...
I began recording on an old Wolensack 1/4" reel to reel in 1965, taping band rehearsals and recording my music.
I later got an RCA stereo tape deck then I went thru the cassette phase learning to bounce recordings while adding other live performances to simulate multi-tracking.
My first session in a "real" studio was at FABOR RECORDS in Stanton CA in 1971 where my band recorded an original song.
I WAS HOOKED! I had to get a multi-track machine...
I was able to use Teac 4 tracks and finally got my own Tascam 80-8 in 1980. Fast forward thru the years I had several ADATs then Fostex hard disc recorders and tons of outboard gear.
Now I have finally taken the plunge into software based recording with a New MacBook and Focusrite interface using Logic Pro software... It's fun but there is going to be a big learning curve!
