Are all plain LeGrande guitars short keyhead head ?
I am asking about the plain LeGrande not the ll or lll.
What is the measurement on a short key head ?

Only the earliest LeGrandes from 1983-84 or so are short keyheads, which are distinguished by having a two piece keyhead and obviously shorter than a regular Emmons keyhead. Most LeGrande 1s are not short keyheads, as they were made into the early 90s to the best of my memory.

Hey Bud,
Most of the early ones had 4 hole bellcranks, rather than the 14 hole of the LeGrande II's
I had a black D-10 that I wish I had back.

Hello Ron.
Thank you for chiming in.
They are great horns but a little heavy for this old guy.

I had and my friend still has a black skh sd-10, its a 1987. It is a little different as it has the Legrand changer, not the webbed changer as most have. I have the documents from Emmons somewhere.

Kelcey - Did all the SKH's just have a LeGrande decal as this one does?

Also, when Emmons changed from the short keyhead, Is that when the Lashley LeGrande decal was put into use?

Kelcey - Did all the SKH's just have a LeGrande decal as his one does, and when the design changed the Lashley LeGrande decal was used?

Short keyhead LEGRANDE’s we’re built on modified push pull bodies, this is well documented by many people in the know around the forum. I have a skh built with the later style changer and wouldn’t trade it for 100 push pull guitars!

And I have a push-pull that I would trade for 100 LeGrandes.
But not for 99.

You are a funny man Jack!…
And just for the record Buddy Emmons himself asked Ron Lashley Sr. To develop an all pull guitar. And that came from the horses mouth.

I believe that is correct.
And it is an Awesome album!. It is in regular rotation on my phone throughout the year not just at Christmas.
And every time I hear it I realize how much the world lost on July 21st 2015.
