I just bought a Rickenbacher A-22 Frypan, serial #B209. It only has a volume knob on the treble side. No tone knob. The output jack is located on the bass (right-handled player's) side. Rickenbacher medallion on the head stock. It came with its original black case, with a Ludwig Music House medallion on the front. Does anyone have insight into the year it was made? |

Pics help and they're fun to look at. Mine's the same and figured it's 33 or 34.

your description of yours describes mine (s/n B 371) perfectly. i can't date it for certain, but have always figured '32-'34. _________________ The mainland is intimidating, bewildering, and uncomfortable. And you have to wear shoes. -- Theroux. |

I believe the tone control appeared in 1937. _________________ Don't go in the water after lunch. You'll get a cramp and drown. - Mother. |

Not sure how well a serial number dates these but mine is B174. Lovely badge too.
