As Facebook informed me that today is his birthday, I went over to say Hey and I learned that he died in June.
We were not friends in any way I would measure that but we were friendly and we'd had several steel guitar-related conversations. He was a good guy.
And actually, knowing that he was a good guy and knowing that I enjoyed talking with him.....maybe we were friends.
All I know is that it made me sad to learn that he lost his long battle with health issues at age 70. |

Is the Chuck Snider you are talking about, Live in North Carolina? A Chuck Snider once lived in West Virginia where I became friends with him. He moved to N.C. to be close his grand children. About 2-3years ago.
He was into Emmons P/P's. |

Bobby -- I believe that this is the same guy. I believe he moved to Chapel Hill from WV.
We'd talked about the p/p he was rebuilding and we shared thoughts & ideas about other PSG mechanical puzzles.
He was living with congestive heart failure for quite a while and apparently he died during surgery. Pretty much my age. A real shame. |

I'm sorry to hear this. Back in the late aughts he and I communicated for a bit and had a steel hang. He was always very nice and enthusiastic about the steel guitar and music in general. RIP. |
