CLassic BE solo :D . Must be one of the longes steel guitar solos on a comercial recording? The Norwegian band Jonas Fjell Band recorded this in Nashville in 1977.

Is it compressor and phaser effects?

Great stuff! I love it when a real pro forgets about all that "just play the melody" stuff, and proceeds to burn it up with wild, imaginative, and spontaneous artistry!

:) :D

That may be the most amazing steel I’ve ever heard, just when you think Buddy has broken all the limits he pull off something like this. Talent beyond compare and thanks to those responsible for getting this recorded for us. And having a place to hear it.

Thanks for posting that. It's a great JJ Cale song.

Also, if you like Jonas Fjeld, he made a terrific trio album with Rick Danko and Eric Anderson back in '93.
