The Christmas Song

That to me is a tough song. Every time I play it I hear another part I do wrong. People always ask for that one at Christmas and I never seem to get it right.

So this year I have decided to learn it right. ...I hope.

Very cool Bill... I commend you... Not one you'd consider easy... Took me years before I even attempted this, and not 100% sure this is correct either, but maybe there's a position or two that will help you. I think it all fits, but then I never trust my ear so YMMV. Good Luck with it.

That is a great rendition Dale. Outstanding.

Every year I plan to get it right, but fail. A guitar picking friend and I are working on it. He does a great job and I keep making him stop until I find the chord. Neither he nor I have any idea what many of the chords are by name. They just sound right. We are working on it in "D", because that is where the keyboard player plays it.

I have never been able to use tab. For some reason I cannot remember it. If I learn it by ear I never forget. Go figure.

Thanks so much Bill... It sounds like we're similar in that I don't know the names of most of the chords I'm looking for, and never been a big fan of Tab. I find it more frustrating than the frustration I have looking for something with my ear, but ONCE I finally find it, and I usually do even though that might take a while, there's a lot of satisfaction in that. Holler If I can help you find a sound your looking for.
