If you are unable to locate the rods, they can be easily made from stainless steel or aluminum welding rod available at any welding supply shop. Just thread one end for the tuning nut, cut to length, and you're good.

I bought a couple from Wayne Link at Linkon pedal steels. The website is listed here on the forum, click on the links from the menu at the top .
