Gary has played on quite a few records in his career, and has toured with several artists-he toured with McBride & The Ride in 1994-at that time, they were known as Terry McBride & The Ride, and he'd toured with Dwight Yoakam for a few years, then in '03, he was the steel player with Dierks Bentley, and joined Brooks & Dunn's touring band in late 2005. He can be heard on several Highway 101 records, he's heard on "Just Like The Weather", a song Suzy Bogguss recorded in 1993. He's also seen in Dierks Bentley's "Lotta Leavin' Left To Do" video, playing a Sho-Bud pedal steel guitar and a Beard dobro in one scene. He joined Brooks & Dunn after Troy Klontz left their road band, and has been in the band ever since. He still plays shows with McBride & The Ride when not touring with Brooks & Dunn-he plays a Desert Rose pedal steel on the Brooks & Dunn and McBride & The Ride shows. When Gary is on tour with Brooks & Dunn, Bruce Bouton will fill in as the steel player with McBride & The Ride. Gary is heard on Sara Evans' hits, "Suds In The Bucket", "Cheatin", and "Real Fine Place To Start"

Ray Herndon, the guitarist with McBride & The Ride sang lead on "Clyde Played The Electric Bass", and you can tell Ray is a fan of Gary's playing because he says, "Pick that steel guitar, Gary Morse"!
