When playing strings 8-6-5-4-3 individually do you use T-T-2-T-2 or do you use
T-2-T-2-T (assuming you are using the Thumb and 2nd finger method) ? _________________ Emmons, Franklin, Mullen |

On faster tempo songs, I often use T-2-T-2-T, but it really depends on the specific "lick" that I'm playing.

I've used multiple finger combinations, sometimes even incorporating "1".
Some of it relates back to starting on lap steel and some different conventions. |

What I'd use would probably depend on the speed and what came before/after those notes. Many times, I don't really think about it; my hand just does what's comfortable. |

What Donny said. I never think about what finger to use in what order. |

Yes, like Donny; it really depends on what affect you are wanting really about any section you pick with TIMING; INTONATION; NOTE DEPTH and LENTH and the dynamics of the style you are picking with what speed. You figure out eventually the best way to pick anything you are playing by doing it a MILLION TIMES over and over again for 40 years; or naturally pick it easily in a couple trys.
