Buddy Emmons Intro

Post by Robert Jones »

Hello everyone. I have a problem and I need your help with it. I am currently trying to find out how Buddy played the intro to Gene Watson song "Shine from the Mountain." I have been studying his copendent and just can't figure out how he did that. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Robert

Hi Robert, Here is a video lesson I did on that a few years ago. Not exact but should be in the ballpark.

Classic Buddy Emmons phrasing and TONE.

This is a new one for me and I love it.
AUTHORIZED George L's, Goodrich, Telonics and Peavey Dealer: I have 2 steels and several amps. My current rig of choice is 1993 Emmons LeGrande w/ 108 pups (Jack Strayhorn built for me), Goodrich OMNI Volume Pedal, George L's cables, Goodrich Baby Bloomer and Peavey Nashville 112. Can't get much sweeter.
