Penny and I listened to this album last night and were so impressed with this collaboration. Great playing all around and Paul, your steel on these tunes was perfect in every way (no surprise there!).

I've never heard Broadway-style arrangements used on Country or Western Swing grooves and man it works so well. I can only imagine the effort that must have gone into these recordings, which were also beautifully mixed.

Fantastic!

Absolutely, great stuff, lovely Gershwin tune. I wasn't aware of any of this although I know of Michael Feinstein's endorsement and homage to the Gershwin music.

I love the steel guitar and your playing in this context. Just fabulous.

Thanks everyone,
If you like the concept of Gershwin's songs with a Country Twist you may want to check this out... Willie also has two Sinatra tributes. Matt is a fantastic pianist/arranger

Fantastic! What a sound on the title track. A great combo of big band and Western swing.
I wonder if the singers and musicians all tracked at once?

Great stuff, Paul! Great solos on Somebody Loves Me, Love Is Here To Stay, They All Laughed, also! Great pads and fills on a lot of others too. Lots of "adult chords"! Thanks for sharing this. This "album" is from 2016 and I didn't even know it existed. I love this stuff
