4th String Tuning Problem

I have read the under-tuning / over-tuning thread and still can't figure this out. I am clearly not the honor grad from steel mechanic school.

When tuning my LKR pedal, which lowers the E strings, the 4th string remains slightly sharp. I have turned the nylon tuner clockwise (makes the string flatter) as far as it will go, but the 4th string remains sharp.

I would take it to a steel mechanic but do not know of one close. If easier, I would be glad to call to discuss.

It's a Sho Bud Pro III.

If I'm seeing that right (always a big if), yep, the blue circle is where you want to be. First make sure you haven't overtuned the nylon nut in the process. Back it off, if it needs it.

Loosen that locking nut and screw the cap screw in some. When you've got enough knee lever movement to get down to pitch, go just a little further. Lock the nut. Then go back to fine tuning at the nylon nut. You will of course be affecting the 8th string so that'll need to be retuned too.

Thanks

I appreciate your time. I think that did the trick.

I owe you one!
