I sent him a text the first day he posted. He wants people to make offers, he won't price the guitar. Text him if you want to bid I guess, I'm not into auctions, so I passed, but he did respond to my text right a way.

JS I agree with you 100% I do not agree with Auctions on this site. move it to Ebay or some other place that
takes auction highest bidder. I do not know what Bob thinks about it. But this is his site.

You’ll get it back

Post by Tab Tabscott »

Steel guitar players don’t steal pedal steels. It’s just dumb. So it was just a common crook for sure. And they will have no idea what to do with it. So they’ll sell it cheap to a non-steel player who will eventually sell it or show it to someone.

Once in the mid 70’s somebody called me up offering a push-pull for $500. I called the cops because it was all over the news in St. Louis that Lacy Daltons band had all their gear stolen at the chase park plaza.

Turned out it was Bruce Boutons steel and he got me a gig with the house band in the starlight ballroom at the chase after they left. True story. Steels and dobros almost always come home when stolen.

Hoping for recovery

Post by Steve Spitz »

hope this steel gets returned to you.

I’m afraid that someone would think they stole a keyboard, open the case, and not know what to do.

I’ll keep an eye out my way.

I think about all the gear left in my car during the show. It’s getting where you have to be so cautious these days.

My heart goes out to you, that really stinks.
