Beautiful solo on home box office 201

Last night, March 3rd on Home Box Office channel 201, I watched a program called "The Righteous Gemstone". Late in the 8:45-9:30 Episode 209 Danny Mcbride and other actors were singing "My Love for you Will Never Die". A pedal steel was the last thing I had expected to see and hear. It was a nice clean and pretty sound. Anyone know who was on the steel?
