Stolen Emmons Legrand, Bradenton FLA

Post by Pete Adams »

Our trailer was stolen last night in Bradenton FLA. My red Emmons Legrand Serial number 707L was in there,as well as my Webb that I’ve had since 1980, seat and pedal board. I’ll try to describe stuff in more detail when I catch my breath. I have a show tonight in Ft Myers at 7, if anyone in that area has a decent playing single 10 with 3 and 4, guess I’m looking to rent it. 413 717-0380.

If you can't find a guitar in Ft. Myers, give Bondz music in Wildwood a call - they usually have a guitar of some sort in the store. Good idea to let them know about the theft as well.

I'll keep a lookout since I'm in the (north) Tampa area.

Bondz Music usually does have some steels but Wildwood is a long way from Ft Myers.

I'll alert "JR" (store manager) about the theft.

OMG Pete! This really sucks. When you get back to Mass. I can loan you a steel, amp, seat, whatever you need.

Thanks everyone, I was able to get a Carter to play the gig. Shoutout to Dave Stewart who I understand owns it. We’ll have to see how the rest plays out, I’m not getting my hopes too high.

Being a vintage and used-gear dealer I get around to a lot of music stores, pawn shops and especially guitar shows. We have a little place in FLA, too, which gets me out and about in that state.

I’ve written down your name and your red LeGrande’s serial number and will keep an eye out for it. Seriously, I see so much gear that I could stumble across it.

When you get back up north and if you don't have any success finding your gear (fingers crossed for you!), feel free to contact me about a Webb. I've got one I don't use & won't ship. I've had it for years & I'm not interested in big dollars. You're probably about 1 1/2 hours away. Maybe this can be a good fit for both of us.
