My 36" Plano model PLA11836 arrived today. The shape of my Gibson inspired guitar would not allow the Rogue to fit if I wanted it to (2 Rogues would fit fine), but I had decided to use a small section to hold my pick and slide case, and I will likely pluck 4 more squares to place a Fast Fret container in there. I'll be lining the case, and my daughter is going to make a protective blanket with satin on one side to prevent any possible damage that could happen to the cloth above the guitar or the finish on the instrument. She wants to add a small pocket on the blanket that is not over the guitar to holda couple of string packages. As far as tools, I have a small workbench set up in the house for repairing minor guitar issues, and I doubt I'll play anywhere but home, so that's all I can think of to have in the case.

As for my opinion of the case, I like it got both its intended purpose as well as unintended purpose. The plastic is thick and sturdy, 2-stage hinges (4 of them) close with a firm click, and it has 2 minor key locks, as well as 2 places to attach TSA travel locks. There are channels for tie-down straps if you're moving several boxes. The lid has a watertight seal, and there is a pressure release valve should you take a flight or travel to a higher altitude. It's lighter than a plywood Fender-style case, with excellent cushioning.

This case cost me $102 on Amazon (marked 14% off). It took less than 30 hours to arrive. It suits my purposes.
