What sort of polish is best for the metal surfaces?
Also what should be used on the wood surfaces?

Well I've been restoring Sho~bud's for guys all over the world for last 25 years and I always used "Mothers" Metal Polish; but recently got turned on to "White Diamond Metal Polish" and LOVE IT!!!
Also if you are trying to polish Wood finishes; I always use "Old English Lemon Oil" as that moisturizes the old Lacquer; as it dries through the years, is why it looks cracked and doesn't shine; So Lemon Oil is most natural product to restore the finish and wipe on wipe off 100% Cotton cloth and you are good to go.
