Did smiley do the steel work on the original Tommy Overstreet cut of,Gwen, Congratulations?

I'm thinking Smiley told me once that Weldon did all of his studio work. I remember him telling me how he wasn't very happy the way Weldon did the Bottle of Wine lick!
